Road Trip Nominees Episode One: The Start
Dear Diary,
12/24
You're
probably wondering why I'm packing my bags instead of waiting for Santa to come
and eat up all my food. Well, two words:
Internet
Awards
Yours
truly have been nominated for an award in the "Best Blog Full of Fiction
of 2014" category. The problem is that the award show for the show will be
on stage instead of a live stream and will be in
CALIFORNIA!!!
I'm
going to have to go there because if I don't get my award on stage, it'll go to
another blog that probably perfect. By perfect I mean that all the nominated
blogs are with a HUGE group of professional writers writing on the blog.
Anyway,
that morning I was checking my inbox when I came across an email from a do not
reply email thing saying I've been nominated with a link. I click the link and
it said that I was nominated and I screamed really loud that my parents busted
in my door with "weapons" thinking I was hurt or something.
"What's
the problem?" my Mom asked.
"Nothing,
but I just found out I've been nominated for an Internet Award!" I said,
excitedly.
"Oh,
we thought you were hurt."
"Then
why did you bring a hollow two and a half foot candy cane and broken regular
size real candy cane?" I said, having my "why the flock" face.
"Uhhh,
anyway, when and where's the awards show?"
"January
first at eight o'clock in Los Angeles California. Speaking of which, can we get
tickets to go there." I said.
"Sorry
bud but we can't because we spent a lot of our money on our Christmas
project." my dad said, giving me the broken candy cane he had.
Every
year my parents work on a project around Christmas that gives back to the
community. This year my parents bought a house for two homeless families (one
got one and other got one) and a job per family. My parents even got the
governor to help them with bills they have to pay.
"Oh..."
I said, frowning.
"Wait,
you can still can go!" my mom said.
"How?"
my dad and I said.
"My
brother's coming here and then to a road trip." she said.
"What?'
I said.
"He's
going to California, right?" My dad said.
"Yeah,
you can ask if you can join him and his family."
"YAY!!"
I said, but really I didn't want to go because the last time I went on a road
trip with them, they kept singing songs and playing road games and I found it
extremely annoying and I was SEVEN at the time! I don't want to experience that
again for freaking X amount of hours. But I decided to ignore my issue and
started packing. I'll tell you what will happen next tomorrow.

I feel like this might be boring for a few people but don't worry, the story is beginning! The next part should be more funny and I'm really excited for the rest. Now if you excuse me, I have some research to do and catch Santa.
Happy Holidays and Winter!!
